Why Am I Starting A Blog..?

Hey, I've finally decided to start my blogging page. I know I'm quite late to this party, but it's never too late to start something new. Let's dive into the topic: why am I starting my blog? To answer that, we need to go deeper into my life so far.

My History

Let's start with my history. It feels weird to write about yourself, but here it goes. I have ADHD, which makes me wander off-topic more often than not. So, please bear with me. From my childhood (I'm currently in my second year of undergrad college) I have always been an introverted person, and I often find it difficult to express myself to others. As a result, I developed a habit of keeping a diary, where I wrote about my day, stories, characters, and funny scenarios for over 10 years. Although I am not very consistent in maintaining it lately, I still cherish the diary entries and read them occasionally. It feels like I have time-traveled to that moment, and it always brings a smile to my face.

My purpose for writing a blog.

Now, I intend to take my expression to the next level by maintaining a blog. Through my blog, I aim to document my journey and share my experiences with others. My primary motivation is to make a significant impact in the life of every reader who comes across my blog. I believe even the smallest change can significantly affect a person's life.

Journey in Development till now

Let's talk about my journey in development. Although I started college just last year, my journey as a developer began much earlier, when I got my first PC. I have always been fascinated by machines, and my PC made me realize that a machine has two major parts: hardware and software. So, I started learning about software and how I could make my software, particularly games. Even in my early days, I was more fascinated by how a game was made than the game itself.

Youtube and my first Game

I found out about YouTube, and it changed my view entirely. I saw people making games using Unity and typing all those magic words which I didn't have a clue about. But I did one thing - I copied those tutorials and wrote all those scripts for player movement. I didn't just copy those tutorials, but I also started doing something on my own. I started looking for patterns, and slowly I made some changes. That's how I made my first game, which was not the best thing in the world, but I was proud of it at that time.

Learning and a little philosophy

So, the lesson I learned from this little story is that if you don't understand something, you can start by copying the tutorial. Your brain will start picking up some patterns eventually, and that's how you ultimately learn. Don't stress about learning everything in one go, but start slow, and eventually, everything will make sense one day. As Steve Jobs once said, "You can't connect dots looking forward, so just believe that one day when you look back, they will make sense."

Conclusion

Alright, it's time to wrap up my first blog. This was just an introductory blog where I shared what inspired me to write and how I embarked on my journey as a developer. I also talked about the valuable lessons that I learned from these experiences. That's all for this blog. I will see you in the next one. Till then, have a great time and remember to enjoy the process.
